About
Welcome to the home space of Passport2Pimlico, site of the re-make of the 1949 classic Ealing comedy "Passport to Pimlico". The participatory art film itself is part documentary, part re-imagined scenes from the original. The documentary side of things chronicles the making of the film, showing the chaos and comedy witnessed behind the scenes.
The cast is comprised almost completely of the great and good who reside within the sanctity of the Independent Republic of Pimlico (or just
Pimlico to the uninitiated), many proving conclusively you don’t need talent to act, although it helps.
The aim here is not only to create a wonderful film, but to bring the young and old of the community together in public spaces across Pimlico, to enact scenes, build bridges and forge friendships.
Passport 2 Pimlico is a year long art piece by AKarts. We would like to thank all those who are supporting us and taking part.
